Honouring 150 years on the Lighthouse Route in Canada's Lobster Capital

Built in 1876 by Master Mariner Captain Charlies Nickerson, our fully-renovated gothic revival style home is now a popular Bed & Breakfast in Shag Harbour, here on Nova Scotia's magnificent South Shore.

Your exclusive 2nd-floor three-room suite sleeps five guests comfortably, with ocean views from every room: queen room with walk-in closet/dressing room, twin room with attached TV lounge, spacious bathroom with walk-in shower, and a fully-stocked beverage area with bistro table, mini fridge & microwave.

A locally-sourced gourmet breakfast, whimsical Maritime decor, and a private hiking trail through our woods to a stunning private oceanfront combine to make your stay a wonderfully immersive Nova Scotia experience.

Our Communities: Shag Harbour, Barrington & Cape Sable Island

We are steeped in Maritime history here in Shag Harbour,

a historic and thriving lobster fishing village minutes from the amenities of Barrington Passage and the gorgeous causeway and white sand beaches of Cape Sable Island.

Our rugged landscape, welcoming locals, and unique flora

& fauna make us a popular destination for Maritime road trippers, lighthouse lovers, lobster enthusiasts, and of course, the UFO curious!

In fact, National Geographic magazine calls the Lighthouse Route Nova Scotia's ultimate road trip!
